ART. COMMERCE. COMMUNITY.
Curating experiences that celebrate the soul of South Fulton (SoFu).
The Architects of SoFu
Shemi Enterprise, Inc. was born from a shared passion for community and the creative spirit. Founders Shelia Mants and Michelle Taylor Willis joined forces to answer a simple question: How do we elevate the visual and performing arts while driving economic growth in our own backyard?
Built around the “SoFu” brand—named for the intersection of South and Fulton—we mirror the energy of iconic arts districts like SoHo. Shemi is more than a non-profit; it is a movement designed to uplift local artists, non-profits, and small businesses by producing inclusive, high-energy experiences.
The money we raise goes toward curating experiences that celebrate our local arts and culture communities.
the Taste of SoFu
Since 2017, the Taste of SoFu has been the heartbeat of our street culture. We transform the block into a vibrant canvas featuring food trucks, an eclectic artists’ market, business pop-ups, and live entertainment. While adults enjoy food and fellowship, the "Kid Zone" offers hands-on games and crafts at no cost. It is a celebration of the senses and the vibrancy of our neighborhoods.
Honor. Elegance. Legacy.
The SoFu Legends Ball
Expanding the vision from the streets to the ballroom, the SoFu Legends Ball is our annual black-tie gala. We unite the eight cities of South Fulton to honor those who have paved the way, inducting local stalwarts into the South Fulton Hall of Fame. It is an elegant space for city officials, community leaders, and key stakeholders to connect and celebrate the achievements that elevate our community.
